Hey, I have one of the last Gl top tanks that Sig ever sold. I got it a little over a month ago and since have put on 1,650 kilometers. During that time nothing really has gone wrong except the rear tire went flat - twice! The first time I paid almost $70 to get that fixed ($60 for hour of labor and $8 for the tube). I am not going to waste money I don't have like that again, so I'm going to remove the rear wheel myself.. My question was how difficult it really is. The chain gaurd and chain setup looks rather complex and maybe one of you guys could help in explaining what I should watch for when removing the wheel. I really don't want to fuck anything up. Does anyone know which tubes will work in this bike besides the regular 17 x 2.25? I can get those exact demensions from my local honda dealer but they won't open until Monday. Would it work if I just put in fix-a-flat into the tire with nothing in it and treated it as a tubless? I mean I doubt it, but I know I can make do with something before Monday, I really could use my bike right about now. Also, do all of you pump your tires up to 32 psi or do you exceed that?
By the way I'd just like to note that my bike gets an easy 55 mph with everything stock and has backfired 3 times (all recently) when I am slowing from 55 to right around 41 or 42 mph. Nothing seems to happen except the little pop.. Anyone have this happen to them too? Oh and if you know of a cheap exhaust that will fit this bike then please tell me. ^_^ thanks.
