I received my new engine today(with e-start) heres the deal... 1- I figured out a way to hook up my e-start(good) 2- engine sprocket is too wide to fit chain(bad) 3- reconnected the wires(different connectors)(good) 4- my stock foot rest doesn't fit(very freakin BAD)
problem everything else is an easy fix, but what do I do about my footrest

Where did you get the 110cc engine? How much did you pay for it? Are we talking about a GL or Passport? Can you take the engine sprocket off the old engine and put it on the new? What doesn't fit as far as footrests? Do the holes not line up? If not, you may need to go to a machine shop and have them manufacture a bracket assembly.

I am just getting a new sprocket, because I sold my old engine already. My new engine is made by PEACE just another knockoff like Zongshen,Lifan,etc.. since the new engine is wider(almost an inch, maybe a little more) the footrest lines up, but where it curves up it strikes the side of the engine so I can't bolt on the right side.

By the way this is for a GL I paid $300 w/s&h I am currently looking on ebay at the old Honda CB and CV which the Gl's are designed after and I think I found a winner.

That's pretty cool. As far as the foot rests go, take them to a welding shop and ask them to add the inch or so on each side before the bends. Shouldn't cost must. Good luck with your project. Let us know how it works out. Post some pictures if you can.

I found out that the honda dirtbikes for kids mount the same way so I will have the part in a few days.

That's a bummer. Still...70cc is larger displacement than the 49cc stock.

Well it turns out now that the 70cc engine will fit(with the foot peg mount) I hope if not I will be selling my gl for parts and buying a derbi/or the new GL.

I remember that there was someone on Moped Riders Association message board that bought a Lifan 100cc and just bolted it in on his Jialing. You may want to do a search there and see if you can get more information on engine fitment.

So...quit messing around with the Peace engine and get the Lifan that has been proven to fit...or order a replacement engine from RCM.
